This was, I think badly shot, and there is far to much noise. I took it on a bright day but obviously didn’t take account of the position of the sun. When I tried to rectify this in E9 by changing colours and reducing noise, this is what I got.
To say I am not satisfied with it is an understatement. Advice on where I went wrong would be gratefully received.

Looks like a fine Pommie suntan to me, but having said that I would pick a better site for the shot and try again.
Keep trying until you’re happy, that’s what I’ll be doing when I muster up enough courage to post my own.
When processing…instead of doing a levels adj, maybe try the highlight shadows adj…it may bring out more details in the face. Problem is you shot towards the sunlight…maybe shift your position a bit.
I would try on an overcast day as that lighting is not so harsh or at least in some open shade. Lighting is always tough with eyeglasses too so that you avoid glare…I know from the ones I wear! Just keep trying different set ups and delete until you are happy with one.
