51 City or Town

This is a view of my city London. I thought it was ideal as it shows the old, (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben) in the far distance and the new (London Eye) in the centre with the heart of London  (The Thames) running between.

I live about 40 miles from where this was shot, yet I can walk to its estuary with the North Sea. Wonderful smell of salt laden air.

If London is so good, how come there are so many exresidents here in Australia LOL

Have you been to ‘Earls Court’ in London? More Aussies there than in some Australian Cities. Used to have many a tinny with them when I worked for the Council up there. Lol. Howard

Wouldn’t they object if this Hereditary Prisoner of Mother England was to return to the Old Dart, speaking of which can you get me tickets to the Darts World Championship finals in the New Year? I just finished watching Phil Taylor take out the 2011 Players Championship.

This Photo was taken from a moving vehicle. At the time we weren’t allowed to take photo’s of sensitive buildings under the Anti terrorism laws.
As an aside a Dutch tourist here with his son was arrested for photographing a bus garage at this time.
Fortunately sense has prevailed now, and it is a lot harder for the police to arrest you for this ‘offence’.

I love the time of day you chose to shot this shot…now only did you get a great view of the city you got some gorgeous color!

taken from the window of a moving car… I’m impressed. I like the industrial feel of this image.

Loved my trip up in the Eye at dusk. London doesn’t have a really high skyline so the view was phenomenal. All the twinkling lights with the early evening sky was totally surreal.

Love the contrast of all the grey building structures against the bright orange/yellow sunrise. Great photo!
