365 Yellow

This is my take on ‘ Yellow Bird’ as sung by Harry Belefonte. A song of unrequited love between (I believe) people of different colour.

It was I am told originally a folk song from Jamaica, however I first heard it sung by a Jamaician friend of my fathers (Dad was a musician) in the 60s i Ronnie Scott’s club in London.

Originally this was a photo of a yellow rose which  I was playing about with and I took a bird shape from Elements and made this, when I saw the result the song came back into my head.esult I heard the song again in my head.
